Winter is harsh here in Alberta and adapting your skincare is essential. I have sensitive combination skin with very dry patches and always struggle to find moisturizers that are hydrating enough without feeling too heavy. These old and new favorites are just right for my skin during the colder (okay, freezing) months.
I did not include face cleansers because I am not loyal to one specific brand at the moment. However, right now I am using the La Neige Foaming cleanser (and I am not a fan).
Un: If I am wearing eye makeup, I remove it with Marcelle's eye makeup remover. For my face makeup, although I hardly wear it everyday anymore, I use Bioderma Sensibio 3 in 1 milk, and finish off with my trusted Bioderma Crealine, or Sensibio H2O micellar water as they call it here. I have used it for years and love it to this day. If I'm feeling really lazy, I skip it all and use a Bioderma Sensibio makeup removing wipe.
Deux: I use the Reversa Radiance Cream SPF30 moisturizer in the morning, because believe it or not Edmonton is the 3rd sunniest city in Canada. At night, I combine the Hydrabio Serum and Sensibio Light moisturizer. I absolutely adore this serum - it is so light and hydrating which is what my skin needs (as opposed to purely moisturizing... think of it as water vs. food for your skin) - even my husband loves it!
Trois: I finish off with eye cream (when I remember). I have been using the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with avocado for a few years now and it is perfect for my sensitive eyes. I then use one of the 1323878 lip balms that I own and that's pretty much it!
Do you have to adapt your skincare to the season?
*some of these products have been kindly sent to me for review purposes. I only mention them because I actually use & love them!
