This article last year is to this day one of the most read ever on this website. I always have so much fun checking out the new drugstore beauty releases every January and this year is no exception. I compiled my biggest ever new drugstore beauty releases recap, featuring everything from liquid highlighters to Beauty Blender dupes and concealer palettes. This list took some work but here are just *some* of the new drugstore beauty goodies headed your way in early 2017.
▹ This L'Oreal concealer blender sponge reminds me of the Real Technique makeup sponge (that I love!).
▹ The Maybelline Brow Precise highlighter is slanted to help highlight your brow bone with precision. It is creamy, brightening but not glittery and super easy to apply.
▹ This Maybelline MasterCamo concealer palette has every shade you need to color correct your face.
▹ Looks like concealer palettes are all the rage in 2017. Here's another color correcting palette from L'Oreal - I'm curious to see how they compare, especially since this one went the more traditional route with a brightening purple shade.
▹ Maybelline came out with 10 new shades for their Color Sensational Inti-Mate Nudes and I think I need them all.
▹ Curious to try this new liquid highlighter from NYX.
▹ Maybelline might be trying to keep the strobing trend alive with this new liquid highlighter (newest member of the MNY strobing clan after the stick that came out this Summer).
▹ Another makeup sponge, this time by Revlon and with an odd handle. This definitely reminds me of the sponge Maybelline came out with last year.
▹ Say hello to Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer's little sister: the Butter blush. This creamy powder formula is supposed to create a smooth and natural glow and I really want to try it!
▹ Can this new Maybelline dream brightening creamy concealer rival with their cult Age Rewind concealer?
▹ The Baby Lips family has expanded to include a crayon formula. Younger girls will love this one.
▹ Maybelline came out with a cushion foundation of their own - the Dream Cushion Fresh Face - and I like it so far! It's not as dewy as the L'Oreal Lumi Cushion and the coverage is good, but I wouldn't recommend it for oilier skins.
▹ The 24K Nudes is the latest eyeshadow palette from Maybelline. From what I can tell, it looks gorgeous, however I would've loved to see more matte shades.
▹ Revlon is surprising us with an "insta-blush", or blush stick. I remember back in 2011 when the NYC blush sticks were all the rage (and I kind of loved them!).
▹ No stick here but a pretty blush palette from - yet again - Maybelline. The shades look pretty but very shimmery from what I can tell.
▹ And last but not least, another mascara from the mascara kings: Maybelline The Colossal Big Shot is pretty great considering I liked it the first time I applied it (which is very rare for a mascara!). I also love the fact that it washes off so easily in the shower.
Do you like new makeup as much as I do? Which one would you want to try?
