Beauty: Bare Minerals Statement Lip Collection (Liquid lip color, Luxe-Shine lipstick, Under over lip pencil) Review + Swatches

I don't think I have ever mentioned bare Minerals on this blog, and yet it is one of the cosmetics brands I respect and like the most! I feel like they have great products, strong cult classics that are not affected by trends, and basically can do no wrong. They just released a lot of new lip products as part of their Statement Lip collection, and I now that I've had the opportunity to play with them a little, I am excited to share my thoughts.

The collection promises "25 bold shades. 3 finishes. Intense curated color.", and includes the Matte Liquid Lipcolor ($23 CAD/$18 USD), the Luxe-Shine Lipstick ($25 CAD/$20 USD) and the Under Over Lip Liner ($21 CAD/$16 USD), and is available now at Sephora.

L-R: Luxe, Fresh, Shameless, Juicy, Fire, VIP, Naughty, OMG, Flawless, Devious

Described as a "Show-stopping shades in a silky formula that glides over lips and dries to a shine-free finish. Long-wearing, creamy-smooth and ultra moisturizing", the Matte Liquid Lipcolor comes in 10 shades from a darker, dusty pink to a deep plum.

L-R: Luxe, Fresh, Shameless, Juicy, Fire, VIP, Naughty, OMG, Flawless, Devious

+ The formula is indeed very smooth and comfortable
+ It like the fact that they are shine-free but not so matte that they make your lips dry and flaky
+ The formula smells amazing, very similar to the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks

- The darker colors are a bit patchy, as you can tell by the swatches
- There is some transfer, but again, these are not drying so transfer is bound to happen

L-R: Tease, Biba, Rebound, Alpha, Flash, Srsly Red, Hustler, French, Elite, NSFW

Described as a "Bold, saturated color with high impact shine. Weightless, long-wearing, and designed to stay put. Infused with moisturizing botanicals for smooth application", the Luxe-Shine Lipstick also comes in 10 shades ranging from pink to dark grape color. No nude, since this collection is all about making bold statements.
L-R: Tease, Biba, Rebound, Alpha, Flash, Srsly Red, Hustler, French, Elite, NSFW

+ The formula is incredibly smooth and comfortable
+ The finish is beautiful

- I wouldn't call the finish "luxe-shine", as it gives a natural healthy shine but is not glossy

Described as a lip pencil that "Delivers a creamy, silky glide for exceptional blend ability and comfort. Can be used before lip color to help prolong wear and prevent feathering, or for post-lining to define the shape of your statement-making lips", this lip pencil comes in 5 shades that can easily be used with most of the 20 shades of lipsticks.

L-R: Kiss-a-thon, 100%, Wired, Genius, Graphic

+The shades are pretty versatile
+ The formula is highly pigmented

- The tip broke on 3 out of the 5 pencils as I was swatching them (using normal pressure) and I ended up having a hard time tracing a neat line

Are you into the Statement lip this summer?

* These products were graciously sent to me from the brand for review purposes. All opinions are my own.
