Beauty: A Look at Victoria Beckham x Estée Lauder 2017 Collection

I love Estée Lauder - their products are high quality and amazing. So when they launched a collection with the queen of chic last year, it could only be gorgeous. They partnered again this year, and the result did not disappoint.

I got my hands on a few items, and decided share my first impressions.
First of all, and this is true for all the products in the line, the packaging is so sleek, elegant and beautiful. Even the cardboard boxes the products come in are pretty: the inside is a gorgeous matte polka dot pattern (as shown in photo above).

The collection centers around different cities around the world, and offers a selection of products for each city (London, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Paris).

My favorite product of the line has to be the Bronzer in Java Sun. I love the fact that it is a huge pan that can accommodate my bigger bronzer blushes. The product itself is a beautiful lightweight formula that does not look the teensiest bit orange. Instead, it creates the most gorgeous healthy glow and is perfect for the cooler months. This has quickly found its way into my every day makeup bag!

Next up is the Eye Metal Shadow in Bitter Clove. This can look a little scary at first because of the chunky glitter, but it is very easy to work with. You can make it as subtle or as intense as you want, and the shade is beautiful.

Another favorite of mine is this Eye Matte Duo in Noir/Vanille. The formula is so finely milled it feels almost creamy, the pigmentation is perfect, and the shades are absolutely perfect for an everyday polished eye. I even out my eyelid with the vanilla shade, and line my eye with the noir shade. Voilà, simple and chic.

The Aura Gloss has gotten a lot of hype - creating a lot of expectations, perhaps a little too much? I love the idea of a multi-use, touch of gloss type of product. I used to love a similar product MAC made back in the days, mostly because I had read in InStyle magazine that Sarah Jessica Parker wore it as a highlight when filming SATC. But I digress. This has very chunky glitter, and can be a little gritty. But it's also very unique, and is beautiful when worn as a highlight (albeit a little sticky).

Last but not least, the Desert Heat Lipgloss is fantastic. It is highly pigmented, but still easier to maneuver than a liquid lipstick, does not feel sticky or goopy at all, and it smells very distinctly of prunes (I happen to like prunes).

All in all, the collection is beautiful. It is extremely pricey and thus, definitely not the one to go for if you just need your basics, but the quality is there so if you want to splurge on something nice for yourself or for a present, go for it now as it is a limited edition collection.
